Social Knitwork Scarf 2013 - Please Participate!

As I was drawing near to the end of my Sky Scarf 2012 I began to feel a bit bereft and searched around for something to fill the looming void.  Thankfully Lea Redmond from Leafcutter Designs had come up with an idea for 2013: the Social Knitwork Scarf.  Basically you ask your friends on social networks to pick colours for your scarf.
Here are the colours I have picked and the diary I will record them in.

If you would like to pick a colour then please leave a comment with your choice (green, blue, pink, red, brown or purple) and why you want that colour.  I will knit two rows per choice, one choice per day in the order in which they come through.

By the way - I've tried to put this post onto a yarn along - no idea if it will work, but if you want to give it a try yourself, just look here!

This is my first visit to your blog, what a fun thing to do! I look forward to seeing how the scarf turns out. Blessings!

  6. How fun! I see three of my favorite bloggers are your first to comment! yay! I have to choose pink because it is a very happy color for me and with the snow outside it also seems a very fresh, invigorating color for this time of year.

    1. Hi Helen, I feel bad, I missed the day you knit my color. I meant to ask you if I could pray for you that day since you were thinking of me! If you have need of prayer I would still be happy to pray for you, just let me know! If you don't I will still pray generally for you and your family. Blessings, Lori

    2. Lori, that is very kind, thank you. I would appreciate your prayers for my eldest daughter, Abi, age 9, who has chronic pain in her right cheek. Please pray that she would be healed. Many thanks! I have been trying to remember to pray for my colour-choosers as I knit their colour. If I can pray for anything for you then please let me know.

  8. They are such lovely colors. I'm sure my choice would be different throughout the year. Right now, I would chose the red. To me, red it warm and comforting. Looking out on our snowcovered landscape, snuggling under a warm, red corduroy quilt makes me feel toasty :) BTW... my granddaughter did not follow through with her scarf, but neither did I. I think I just never made the routine part of my day. I do love your scarf. Have tons of fun with this one, and please make sure to share your finished scarf with us again next year. ~Kimara~ Wee Folk Art

  9. After reading your other contributors, I was tempted to change my mind and go for red, but I choose blue as it has always been a favourite colour of mine and it was the colour scheme for our wedding. Can we come back later in the year and choose a different colour?! ;-o
